We encourage students of all majors to apply! Every year, we receive applications from nearly every college on campus. At 180DC, we value diverse interests and see them as essential to effective consulting and to our mission. More than anything, we look for a genuine interest in social impact and a passion for learning.

Yes! We welcome freshmen applicants, even as early as their first semester on campus!

We look for candidates who are passionate about helping others and tackling organizational challenges to drive meaningful change. No prior consulting experience is required, just a willingness to collaborate and the foundational soft skills needed to grow and succeed.

The most important quality we look for is a genuine passion for social impact. We seek individuals who view 180DC as a platform for driving meaningful societal change, not just as a resume booster. That said, no single factor will make or break your application. We take a holistic approach, considering a range of elements throughout the process, including leadership experience and communication skills.

We strive to make our interviews as straightforward and approachable as possible. On this page, you’ll find sample behavioral and case interview questions to help you prepare. Each recruitment cycle, we also co-host a Diversity & Inclusion event designed to teach the fundamentals of club recruitment. We’d love for you to stop by and say hello!

We host a variety of structured events during the first few weeks of the semester, including Club Fest, information sessions, workshops, and a D&I event focused on consulting. You can also sign up for 1:1 coffee chats on this page or reach out to our members directly via email!
